Honoring Children, Mending the Circle

​

Honoring Children, Mending the Circle (HCMC) training is a culturally grounded adaptation of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), facilitated by the Indian Country Child Trauma Center and hosted by Red Lake Nation at Mino-Bimaadiziwin Wellness Clinic. All costs of this training are covered by Red Lake Nation through funding by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA); lunch is also provided daily for all participants.

 

This four-day intensive training integrates traditional healing frameworks with evidence-based clinical practice to support healing and recovery for American Indian and Alaska Native children and families. The training includes: four days of in-person intensive instruction, web-based training and resources, and optional weekly follow-up case consultation calls. You will also receive certificate of attendance for the 4-day training that participants may submit to their respective boards for continuing education consideration.
