Adriana Youssef, PhD, LP
Neuropsychological Assessment Program Manager

Mexican/Chicana

Adriana Youssef is Mexican-Chicana with roots from Jalisco and Chihuahua. She was born and raised in California and has lived in Minneapolis since 2006. She serves as the Neuropsychological Assessment Program Manager of the Mental Health Program at the Mino Bimaadiziwin Wellness Clinic. Dr. Youssef is a licensed psychologist and received her PhD and clinical training from the University of Minnesota’s Clinical Science and Developmental Psychopathology Program at the Institute of Child Development. She also conducts neurocognitive evaluations for children ages 0-21 along with Autism and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum assessments, using a cultural lens that is respectful to the history and experiences of Indigenous youth.

 

Dr. Youssef holds a certification in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health through the University of Minnesota. She is trained to use the DC 0-5 for the assessment of young children. She is certified in the following mental health interventions: Honoring Children, Mending the Circle cultural adaptation of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Indian Parenting, Circle of Security, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and the Oregon Model of Parent Management Training.

 

Dr. Youssef’s goal is to provide culturally responsive, trauma informed, and resiliency-based mental health care. She has a passion for supporting families as they incorporate Indigenous knowledge and culture into their healing. As a Latina clinician, her goal is to be a good ally and supporter to those in the Native community. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, gardening, and doing arts and crafts.
